Wait, your have all doors unlocked? Why not just use the black button ON the top hatch to unlock the hatch instead of using the center console button?
Also, when you are in x5 and press the button from center console then get out to get to hatch, do you close your driver's door BEFORE you get to the trunk/hatch? If so then the wind force inside the x5 actually is what pops the hatch open a bit then it shuts closed and is a function of air pressure and not a timing/mechanical problem with car
