Few of us know for sure the experience or knowledge of other members. That's why I look to folks that have validated themselves by the many posts I have read. That was my point. There is no intention to discount any new member's input or experience. There have been many instances where a new member has become a great source after a couple of posts. Since we both acknowledge we are not experts, and you strongly disagreed with my attempts to help, I referred you to members that I view as experts and provided links for your consideration. Sorry that offended you. There was no intention to do so.

I stand by my experience that the best practice, when one is not an expert working on something as costly and complex as a transmission, where codes are often misleading or only directional, is to go to a transmission shop to not only read the codes but go through a troubleshooting process to pinpoint the core issue. And, that there is no reason to increase the cooling capability for the transmission. Plus, gut feel increases the possibility of making a mistake that causes more problems or spending $$ that doesn't fix the problem.

Seems to me there is nothing you will consider that doesn't endorse your gut feel. There is more than enough input for those that read this thread to decide if your suggestion is the best way to do. That's really all that is important.
