I saw this old post. I have a 2005 x5 3.0 with same thing that happened. Headlights all of a sudden turned off when i was stopped and turned back on when i started to go. When i got home, they would not turn back on at all no matter what i did or what position i put the switch in. net morning i got in the car, turned the key and turned them on, they worked......What was your problem fix?
