Rear center console knock outs (between cigarette lighter) & Front console buttons
Does anyone know what the other two knock-outs in the rear center console are for? I am referring to the ones located between the cigarette lighter socket, below the two rear seat heater switches.
Also, it seems that the front console can accommodate 8 switches. I have only ever seen 7 different kinds. Evidently the 7th spot was never used by BMW.
1. Driver Seat Heating
2. Hill Decent Control
3. Dynamic Stability Control OFF
4. Liftgate
6. Park Distance Control
6. Flat Tire Monitor (newer cars) or Tire Pressure Monitor / RDC (on older cars)
7. Blank
8. Passenger Seat Heating
Follow-up: BMW never mounted anything in that 7th spot. The rear knockouts were: AV In/Out (on the left side) and TV Button (on the right side). Also attached are the relevant pages from the BMW AG Navigation system instruction manual explaining their functionality.
