Know this thread is a month old, but am just starting to look at an airbag light on my daughters 2005, so wanted to post here first. Both dash and overhead lamps are lit, so think it is passenger side related, but reading tells me there are many possible causes and that I should be able to read a code that will give better direction.
I already have a Bluedriver by Lemur as well as some ELM327 clones that I run with Torque and a couple other Apps, but they only read basic data on the BMW and my older cars, leaving me disappointed with them...
Before I go crazy and buy a unit hoping it will work, I want to try to make sure I get a unit that can read the airbags codes so am looking for a scanner that can do that (and hopefully one that I can also use on a 99 suburban and 98 Jag that I have, if I buy the modules for them as well).
I read online that the Foxwell NT510 may be able to read the airbag module and see that andrewwynn bought one & possibly other members have one. Did it work OK for you well on reading the airbag codes and is it something you would recommend as being worth the purchase for other cars?
I have the car in the drive for 3 weeks while my daughter is off on holiday(along with her lab puppy), so have time to order a unit, if it will do what I need.
