Some testing like driving up hill and down hill could help determine. If the drive train slack is the source of the sound.

Ok so should I just try and see if the sound comes or is gone depending on angle?
The shaft definitely makes the metal on metal sound when I turn it back and forth by hand.
The sound is not where the disc is at but at the center of the vehicle.
Could this all happen due to the front axles being replaced?
