When I replace my exhaust manifold a couple of weeks back I also replaced few vacuum lines. I used generic vacuum hose (rubber, not silicone) but covered it with
PET expanding sleeve, as the lines (feeding the turbo VG actuator) are subjected to slight abrasion. PET is tougher than the OEM cotton covering and also reasonably heat resistant. I used a small section of
glue-lined heat-shrink tubing at each end to terminate the PET and stop it unravelling.
