The resistor will be fine. After talking to the mechanic, the transmission has a set of parameters assigned after testing at the factory and the resistor has an assigned range that with acceptable variations that the CAN will accept and once outside of those parameters the CAN gets bad data (hence e53 early/late, e70 various years) have different part #'s.

I believe that may be why at least for mine it shut my suspension down into transport mode. I would clear the adaptations (after learning current values)
