Clay bar won't remove oxidation. Same goes to polish. Not enough to cut through oxidation either.
Tried and done that myself.

Haven't tried sanding and polish yet, but please give yourself a try and keep us updated.
I think that is the only way to remove oxidation on window trim other than wrapping it.
