FWIW- cracks in the potting of electrical components, coils, wiring, is a common sign of failure. Especially with sensors and pickups, a crack in a coil can change the electromagnetic field, leading to poor or noisey sensing. Things like camshaft sensors, crank sensors.
Thanks... but if it occurred during tire servicing I have no one to blame but myself. We (my son and myself) patched hole way back in December. That was the last time I think that tire was serviced.
