Most of the threads I've followed with mystery abs Gremlins start with replacing a couple wheel modules and end with happy factor once the module is replaced.

Rather than use a similarly aged used from a junk yard I definitely recommend fixing. This guy apparently developed some improved method to attach the welded interconnects. Repair your actual module also means no programming required.
