So you attached the ckt for the homelink (switched) to the always on cig lighter? Take out the fuse for the home link circuit or you will backfeed anything else on that circuit also better check your total draw on the circuit of you approach 80-100 mA you will risk coming to a car that won't start.

The last thought: confirm to don't interrupt the sleep mode. Keep the car from sleep the battery will be found dead overnight.

It's a neat mid if it works I often want to open a garage door that is ten feet away when my car isn't running (literally dozens of times in the past 3.7 years).
