I just got my 2012 X5 in November, and I said at the time that the only option I really wished it had was the heated steering wheel. Thanks for the excellent tutorial. I’ve already ordered the parts I’ll need to do the retrofit.

Did you ever follow up with researching wiring the heater into the climate control system and the coding to support it?
