However, it initial scan, it's coming up with cannot read ike or ews. I dunno if it's still driver related at this point..
I had similar issues at first - and like you I tried cables, drivers etc. and finally figured out it was the USB 2.0 cable in a USB 3.0 port. FYI, this is supposed to work but it doesn't always and my goto fix for this issue has always been to connect via a cheap self powered USB 2.0 hub.

In my case, instant fix - PA Soft has been flawless ever since.....
