Homegrown is on a distinguished road
Hi,
Thanks for the response. Those are the diagrams that I tried to match. None of the hoses appear to be the same. At the alternator the hose dives down, splits, and then attaches under the power steering fluid reservoir. Looking at the diagrams. Unless the pictures are out of scale and the bends are not molded and just look different, I'm stumped.

The hose itself is 1/2 the diameter of the upper radiator hose and follows the same path, but goes further back.

I bought some pipe slicing pieces (1/2, 3/4 and 1"), but am reluctant to cut the hose if they don't fit tight and the car cannot be driven to the shop. Unfortunately the cut/damage is low enough on the hose that it's very difficult to even wrap for a good temporary fix.

I never thought my Allroad would be the easier car to repair...
