Tonight when I got home, I took something out of the glove box and closed it, but the latch stayed out and it’s now jammed. It doesn’t feel broken, although it might be, it’s more like it stayed in the open position when I shut it and jammed. It is dark and 5 degrees, so I left it for now.
Has anyone had this happen, or do you know how to dismantle the latch from the outside and get it open? I’m hoping not to break it if it isn't already broken. I can get a better look at it tomorrow in the daylight. This is one latch on the car that I had not heard of breaking - unlike the door carriers, one of which I’m waiting for warmer weather to replace. I love and hate this car.
I’m open to any ideas.
