Unless I'm very much mistaken (entirely possible!) it would be very hard to wire a new android head unit in series with a factory amp - it would NOT be a plug and play task - you would need to cut and splice many wires and it would be a totally useless exercise.....
DSP-equipped cars are wired differently - they effectively already have two amps in series.

Sorry for the terrible pics, I was trying to do it as fast as I could before it got dark. My garage is full and wasn't able to pull it in just yet.. I might have to take a full day to figure out what the heck happened.
I also notice that the guy ran two long screws up top to hold it in place and it was kind of a half assed setup, because it seems like he overshot/undershot the sweet spot and ran these long screws into the old bracker plastic. So therefore I was able to mount it, but too high
...
