ok, sorry for the delay everyone.. It's been a busy week and today was the only time I was able to take everything apart and have a look.
So I plugged back in the old system to check the settings and to my dismay they were already reset to default. Didn't look like it retained any of the settings, but I did turn down the volume all the way. Went back to plug everything back in and the sound was pretty much the same. I tested the radio and crash cymbals seem fairly clear on radio, but when I run it through the bluetooth I get a nasty crackle whenever a crash hits.
For reference the songs I am using are
Caligula's Horse - Dream the Dead and Bloom
Silent Planet - random songs
Tried another song that had good mastering because these are fairly good bands and Opeth still had some high hat crackle. Their albums mastering is really good and shouldn't present any problems.
It's leading me to believe that it's the bluetooth connection on the Eonon that is poor quality. I'm going to email them and see what they are willing to do. Sound quality is important to me and I'm assuming this will impact the sound even if I bypass with new speakers and an amp.
Any other suggestions are appreciated.
