Still driving the E38, weather hasn't allowed me to replace that sensor and the '08 with her limp mode codes is driving me crazy too. It's still calling for DSC error even though I changed the right wheel speed sensor. But as I went through the repair docs in ISTA/D it's actually talking about the TPMS system. I've got the replacement antenna for that and hopefully that is the problem, but again now its been weather and time.

Oddly enough I never thought that a faulty TPMS would ever throw the car into limp mode. But hey, it's a BMW. Wish that write up that eliminated the TPMS and used the wheel speed sensors for FTM (Flat Tire Monitoring) had directions for using ISTA/D or ISTA/P.
