First thing I would do is check my work. May have left a vacuum line disconnected or cracked a hose.

Only way to effectively clean the MAF is with MAF cleaner. Even then it doesn't always work or the problem comes back before long. Might try cleaning it again and see what happens.

If you didn't have the problem before the last time you drove it and the fuel was very low it is more likely fuel related. I would be sure the battery is fully charged, fill the tank and drive it for 50 miles or so and see if the problem goes away.

Shouldn't have to adjust idle. Most likely that is masking the problem.
