Did you happen to take any pictures of your work on this that you could post?

I currently have a leak that fills the front footwells and appears to originate just to the right of the center console which fills the passenger footwell first (and then runs over to the driver side). I have confirmed that it is not the connection under the driver seat so it must be in the dash area.

If you have any advise on changing the line or where it goes through the firewall that would be a big help.

I ended up just splicing mine with 1/4" rubber hose with ziptie clamps. Spraying the old hose with silicone spray allowed me to push it on about 3" which created a good seal.

No leaks for now but here is the official method of running a new line:
