You can also download an image resizer app to both your iPhone & iPad. For sites like this...I recommend an image with a resolution between 800x600 - 1100x800. If you look at the resolution you have set on your devices for image size...its' probably like 2500x3000 or higher...which is way to large for the usually smaller devices the forum members are using....plus it takes up a lot of bandwidth...thus the rejection of images with large resolution.
Images that size are too big and you usually have to scroll left/right and up/down just to see what's in the pic.
Image resizing apps are plentiful in the Store (for free).
