It’s actually two pieces... I had the same issue, my son smacked mine square on the sensor, broke the outside ring and pushed the sensor in to the bumper. I too bought a new mount only to learn that the entire bumper has to come off to do actually put the sensor back correctly.

Needless to say I silicones a chop stick, no shit, a chop stick (was the closest long ski set item I could find to me) to it pulled it back in to place and epoxied it...
