I guess I need to buy one of these Android units, as I can get NO sound out of my OE system (factory NAV, no DSP). Is the appeal mainly that it's an OE-appearing unit with the latest/greatest specs?

Also, when a long cable is needed to go to the connections in the back, are you guys buying those or just splicing/extending the cables that come with the unit? Seems like they charge a lot for the extra wire.
