I will be testing this tomorrow to see if I have continuity and voltage across the pins of the pedal, but I have a question:

There are two vac lines coming from the corrugated tube to the throttle body - the lower one is a very small tube, what is it for, and where is it going?

link above is to the picture of the tube. the small tube on my E53 is broken, not sure what purpose it serves, and if this is the cause of my issue?
