So I finally finished up replacing the front cat. PITA!!!! but doable. You will need a nice arsonal of tools. According to the BMW e70 service manual, you have to remove the rear cat first to get to the front cat and to remove the rear cat you need to take out the entire exhaust. I didn't do it this way.
