I too am a member of the 1.4 bar cap club and I agree with higher pressure = higher boiling point but I also agree that it causes more wear on parts...
I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to everyone as it is not OE but I would also rather have it vent and see steam from under the hood vs blow an EP or Rad.
For what it’s worth I’ve been running it for almost 25k miles and 2 years now - and I run the dog shit out of mine, with no issues.
