Got a bit done this weekend starting Friday.
1. Performed the steering angle sensor repair using a kit on Ebay.
2. Sanded, polished, and lacquered the headlights again.
3. Installed Xpel headlight protection film (this stuff is THICC)
4. Performed the suspension air compressor repair using a kit from Amazon. This was preventative as I don't
think there was anything wrong with mine. Don't want to have to pull the audio system after it's installed if I can avoid it.
5. Pulled some trims off of the parts car, have some more to grab and then it's out of here. Too tempting to start pulling vanos solenoids, eccentric shaft sensors, etc and I need more parts on shelves like I need more holes in the head.
6. Swapped the front bumper reinforcement from the parts car with the one on my truck while the front bumper was off. Mine had a stripped tow hook eye thread on one side. Of course the side I was going to mount the license plate holder. Must have been in a light front end accident at some point as there was some damage to the passenger side but everything seems to line up okay so I'll use it.
7. Carpeted my trim panel that will hold some compartments in the spare tire well under my audio install.
8. Replaced the alternator, idler pulley, and tensioner/pulley and degreased the engine. Will monitor to see if valve cover gaskets continue to seep enough to jeopardize the new alternator. I upped the viscosity and added at205 + Lucas additives. It's a stop gap measure...
