Planning for the future. DD Retirement & Rebuild.

So I have been doing a lot of thinking here lately about the duration of owning my X5 and made a decision I think will be for the best.

You guys have been an immeasurable amount of help over the last few years and I cannot express my thanks enough.

However, in a few months time, I will give my 2002 X5 3.0i with 256k miles, a retirement from being my daily driver and end up doing a total rebuild down the road.

Honestly, this car is too good to let go of for a number of reasons...it's perfect for long trips, family outings and just cruising -- all around, the X5 is an amazing vehicle, but you can't work on it going down the road.

It needs some TLC that I just can't give it when I have a family to take care of and need it to be ready to go at a moments notice or for work, so the big projects that I have been meaning to get around to doing... are starting to show and it's putting more wear and stress on the car than it need be.

So in the coming months I will be a little bit less active, but I will return, with DIY's galore when it's time to start the rebuilding.

Thanks again everyone, will catch you again soon.
