runflats on an E53?

Many modern runflat tires are designed to run on nor so rims.

All car mfr official stance is you need to have tpms to use run flat because the averahe person can't tell when they have a flat tire I guess untik the rim is sparking.

I love my run flat tires they've done their job on a couple occasions: once at City speeds when a tire valve blew out and a second time at freeway speeds in 2" of fresh snow.

I can t explain in words how happy I was when I pulled over to check why my rear end was asking a little loose and discovered it was because I was driving on a flat tire but was able to just hop back in my car and drive a few miles to a nice well lit place with an overhead that was well lit to do a proper tire change.

If I was within 40 miles from home I would have just driven home and changed the tire the next day.

Another bonus: extra 1000-1500# gross weight capacity!

I use Dunlop GrandTrek WT M3 and they are fantastic.

I had determined after the fact that I had driven between 10 and 30 minutes at 60-65 mph with a flat tire and only knew because the car acted a little loose when I got hit by a cross wind. Ijust thought I was slipping on the fresh snow.

The first time I actually drove a few blocks until I found a good place to pull over, patched the valve stem with some tape believe it or not pumped the tire up with my portable air pump and was on my way.
