You need to determine if you have freon and if enough. It's impossible to do a proper diagnoses with just low side but it's a start

If there's not enough freon the AC will not engage.

High/low manifold costs less than a recharge at a shop so get one.

Mine is usually about 45/250 psi. (Ambient dependent) .

My low pressure switch connector popped off and my account was non operational when I bought my X5 it was my first repair.
