So it was idling for 30 minutes…. ? Well, that could possible cause a LOT of exhaust smoke, from what I read of the N62 engine... even at your low mileage....
The burning smell could be from burning off of fluids spilt during the service. Again, burning off spilt fluids isn't noticeable when driving (moving) but 30 minutes of idling will cause a localised build-up of burnt vapours, smelling worse that it really is...
