I have a Foxwell for most of what I need (not much), but do still want to reprogram the temp gauge breakpoints as you and crowz published. I'm in no rush, so ordering new from eBay China works fine for me. Would the following one do the job for me, and for the OP's lighting issue?:

XP only, I see, but I've got an old laptop or more that can handle that requirement.

And I've got a 2001 E53 with only the OBDII plug (not the engine bay round one, as some 2001's had). As usual, eBay specifications appear unreliable.
