Talking Back to the original stated purpose of this thread:

Last week I had a new valve body installed in the transmission of my wife's '05 X5. I bought a rebuilt valve body from RevMax ( https://revmaxconverters.com/ ) and had it installed by my local indie BMW wrench. After a year of intermittent hard shifts and a terrible 2-1 slam if you didn't stop completely, now my transmission is like new. I should have sprung for this 6 months ago. I was so happy with the change that I sprung for a $150 detail job before I gave it back to my wife. She was ecstatic with her "like new" car. i heartily recommend that anybody considering a valve body switch, look at RevMax's products and read about the improvements that they add. Worked magic for me.
