Sunroof Drains

So we've had nothing but rain this year and the wife's X5 had puddles on the front floor mats.Watched some youtube on clearing the sunroof vent tubes and then finally got a day that I could check it out.Nothing really visual you could see from the opening so I tried the wire down the tube.I actually used a heavy gauge weed eater cord.I could get maybe a foot and a half of cord in and that was it.So OK I take the A pillar trim off to access the tubes.Low and behold both the tubes are kinked right in half.Exactly how would those tubes get kinked like that.If I didn't know better I would guess that it was done on purpose. The tubes had to have been pulled up out of the dash pass through tube at least 2 to 3 inches to fold them in half.Easy enough fix but now my carpet is soaked and there's really only one way to correct that Pull the carpet right out and hang it up.Big job and will take forever to dry.Not happy.
