"Not ready for prime time thread for problems you're working on now" yet?
I can see the need for some quick, popular, just yell out a question and see what you get catch-all thread, vs. starting a new thread for a small or uncertain problem. I know search might solve most of that.
At the end of it all, you'll end up with one giant unmanageable thread, like this one, but will not have hundreds of other flameouts. Might be better.

Yes the thread I just linked was specifically for the concept of the catch all what's wrong with so people dont need to make a new thread for every thing. Basically was / is the catch all for helping fix things. @bc is not wrong that it would be good to put repair Qs in a repair Q thread and non repair In a non repair thread.
There are a bunch of posts on the what was/is broken on your E53 thread where questions should be.
I'm as guilty as the askers because it's just easier to reply wherever asked. But I agree it would be better to split the help questions off so I will be answering NOT here : if you'd like to see answers to a repair Q from me, please ask in the what's broken thread vs the what fun new thing thread.
