Trying to remove the valves from old wheels (in order to remove the sensors) I first need to deflate the tire & unmount. Cannot get the valve cores out of the valves to deflate.

Secondary questions for all:
These new wheels appear to be a Z102 replica...can't find many instances, but a 10-spoke and code JJ (4x4 SUV). What length TPMS valves do I need to get? They currently have rubber valves since no TPMS installed, and seem pretty short. Measured to base of threads or end of valve?
