Thanks Adam. That's sort of what I've been doing. I have an iPaq 5150, a BT GPS receiver and I've been using Routis. I plug the PDA into a 12V speaker cradle to amplify the nav wench's voice. It works well but it's a little clumsy.
You should program track maps into your 996. Customize it with braking zones and apexes.
I know you don't need it but it would be funny.
