Right... All valid questions...
-I did the work. First time on a BMW, not the first time doing suspension o several cars over the years.
-I have asked Koni if the kit included some sort of spacer or washer that i did not receive. The diagram that came with the shocks did not elude to any extra parts being required.
-When i put the suspension back together i followed the BMW TIS.
One thing to note* I re used the stock springs on the front. 1 spring was that of a Monroe Quick strut installed by a previous owner. I re used that spring, and it is THAT side that is making the noise. Could this non OE spring be the problem?
Now, making the assumption all parts are brand new, why would i run out of threads on the shock top nut and still have a loose shock?
