Front guibo only. This is a 3.0i 6 speed manual and I have just under 100k miles. The spline on the front driveshaft had surface rust but looked otherwise great so I did grease it before replacing. It is possible I did not grease it sufficiently I guess.

The noise is very hard to pinpoint on origination. I had my son drive it down my street and I leaned into the engine bay while he drove :-) and it seems like it's coming from the drivers side and toward the front. I can't say 100% on this as it could be sound waves bouncing and fooling me.

The sound is not clinking - more of a metal-on-metal grinding or dragging type of noise. Something could be vibrating just right to make it sound like this. I am a little hesitant it is the guibo on the rear as it's not really a clunk/clink type noise but maybe I'm missing?

Thanks! T
