In the US, it's a crippled system that simply turns on and off the high-beams based on inputs to a camera in the inside rear view mirror. US cars receive S8S4A - Variable Light Distribution Decoding which removes the ability for the Adaptive Headlight System to independently move the projectors and operate the bi-Xenon shutters. This advanced Adaptive Headlight System system is referred to as AHL2 while the simple steering-input based AHL system is used on US cars. HBA combined with AHL2 is a very capable and impressive system.
