I've had mine apart and tried to service the motor and gears but the motor was shot. I got a gear kit and got all the gears straightened out but the motor is a PITA.
Anyone have any idea if this Turkish sourced motor is the proper one for our E53s?
I don't think putting the worm gear on the motor shaft is possible  so I'm worried that the supplier will send a motor without a proper fitted worm gear shaft.......

My mirrors folded, the main problem was they'd fold out again instantly. My problem was the little metal arm on the microswitch. It had fallen off and got lodged in the "hinge" I pulled it out, bent it back into shape and reinstalled it.
