Ignition switch which one is the right one

Gentlemen,

I opened a thread about a month ago with major electrical gremlins lurking and many have said my problems could be attributed to the ignition switch. I will try changing such switch but my question now becomes whats the difference between the 9 point switch and the 11 point switch. Does either offer anything more??? ( besides the obvious 2 extra points) both the Febi-Bilstein and the Genuine switches have the same 6132-690-1962 number but again some carry 9 points and some 11. Whats the advantage in the 11 point? And which do you recommend for the X5 2003 4.6? I've found Febi switches with 9 and 11 and Genuine with 9 and 11 points also.
