Thanks for your reply. no visible leaks at the front of the engine. when you say Valley pan do you mean just the cover or the infamous pipe that goes across? and is the "rear cover" you referred to item #5 here ?https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=11_3251
