So I attempt to reset it again and it simply says "OK" in such a condescending tone like " 'Ok'.. you already tried to reset but 'aint gonna happen"... Each time I try after the first attempt it always says "OK" but the reset does not work.

I'm not sure what's going on here. The vehicle runs like a top. No codes or service alerts. But I am simply unable to reset the oil milage.

I've seen people say that the oil level sensor could go bad and cause this, but the oil sensor seems to be working just fine as is senses the oil, and when I add more it will increase the level on the monitor.

Any help trying to figure out this anomaly would be great! This isn't affecting anything other than the annoyance of the milage creeping down to 0. I just want 100% functionality!

Thanks in advance all!
My Indie Mechanic (who has 2 high mileage E70s) has told me that there is a limit to the number of times the Oil Service Monitor can be reset, and after that number it can not be reset again.
He has this issue with both of his E70s, and has seen it on MANY other BMWs as well.

Sorry for the bad news,
John
