When do pedestrians ever pay attenton?
If it's not earbuds blasting music over and above their surroundings, it's oblivion towards the lanes in which one walks vs rides.
I already have the bell on the bike!
Last year, we saw a LOT of close calls, so I decided to get a little silly on our 1st year with our own bikes down there. I even bought a ridiculous squeeze horn to add onto the handlebars. Next will be a rechargeable air horn and small battery to carry in the basket.
Annnd, just to make myself as obnoxious as possible, I'm adding this trailer to carry the cooler, chairs, and nick nacks for a 1/2 day at the beach. I don't even really know if I'll need it. We'll see. 5 weeks. My head is already there.
