Completely in agreement- I always presume that someone about to mod/ tune things is up to date on maintenance, but I do acknowledge that’s a strong assumption in some cases.
I did perform the full kit and kaboodle on my transmission, and it really smoothed things out. Fluid, filter, every seal in there, including dropping the mechatronics unit for the seals above it. I also installed fresh solenoids too. I did everything but a zip kit, which I almost regret not doing while everything was out. This was all a very DIY friendly job, an extra hand helped every now and then, but would’ve been fine without it.
My trans will need a rebuild in another 50-100k, which isn’t that bad since it’s the original unit with 240k on it.
