Good morning and thanks for the reply ard, yes I do have it documented on my last trip while I was under the 50k mile bumper to bumper warranty ,as you have mentioned there are many other owners with the same problem on other forums ,I have discussed this with a BMWNA rep twice now ,they have taken a hard stance on not resolving my situation , I personally believe it's because my vehicle was close to the 50k mileage ,those were actually what the BMWNA rep said to me . I have argued till I was blue in the face with him ,told him about other owners who had they're rims taken care of and how I am a loyal customer for the last 13 years (my 3 Rd x5),they don't seem to care seems loyalty doesn't matter above the bottom dollar anymore.So again I was told nothing could be done for me ,I have asked numerous times as to what they considered outside influences ,and he couldn't give me a straight answering on that, so I kept insisting on a answer fyi ( I am an automotive technician for the last 32 years ) so I know my way around cars . And I didn't have this issue on my previous vehicles , finally he told me to speak to the head mechanic at my dealership , and that he would be able to give me an accurate answer as to what outside influence is ,so hopefully Monday I will talk to the head tech and see what he can enlighten me with , I am just so disappointed and angry that BMW has treated me this way .....I love my x5 and enjoy driving it , but I think BMW has taken a crap on quality control ,and then trying to pin the blame on us customers who buy and treat our cars with utmost of care , thanks again hope I get this resolved
