That’s pretty much my 2011 X5. I enjoy all those premium features except the massage seat (just feels weird, like a turtle crawling around under the leather). The cooling seats are nice in a black interior and the comfort seats are really amazing.

Diesel: I got mine around 70k miles, and the dealer records showed something like over $18k in warranty repairs in the first 60k miles. This wasn’t maintenance but things that broke. I have had a similar experience, suffering pretty much all the failures people talk about here . I would budget $2k in repairs per year, if you use a good repair shop. If using a dealer I’d budget $2500/year for repairs. I even have the pile of the failed parts as proof to myself that the parts were actually bad. Most recent ones were the eve cooler, bac lines for the turbo, vacuum modulators. This is in addition to regular maintenance of $750
A year. So, pretty unreliable compared to the Merc’s and Japanese cars, but when it’s running well it drives better than any other midsize lux SUV, and it tows the best too. I’m happy with mine and will upgrade to an 2018 F15 diesel When my E79 hits 150kmiles. To me you gotta pay to drive a BMW.

Price wise, I paid under $20k for my 1 owner, always dealer maintained mint condition, 5 year old X5d. I would try low balling that dealer and offer 20% less than they are asking.
