There are many things that can trigger this to come on. One of the more common ones is not putting the gas cap on securely. Many times it's not a serious issue. You can pick up an OBD-2 scanner and check the codes yourself (and even reset it), you can go to a local Pep-Boys type of place and many will check the codes for free, or you can make an appointment at the dealer and have them run their diagnostics. I would ask them first if the CPO warranty covers this diagnostic work.
